Seed-stage conviction in enterprise software and security
CinchTech Capital was founded in 2021 with a singular conviction: enterprise software and security would undergo a fundamental transformation, and the best outcomes would belong to founders who understood that transformation from the inside.
Our founding team came from two decades of operator experience across enterprise software, cybersecurity, and venture investing. We saw a gap at the earliest stage — a lack of capital and partners who could truly engage with the complexity of enterprise GTM, security architecture, and the long sales cycles that define this market.
We set out to build a firm that could offer more than a check: deep domain expertise, a curated enterprise buyer network, and genuine commitment to the founders we back from day one.
These principles guide every investment decision and every partnership we form.
We invest when we believe in a founder and a market thesis, not when everyone else does. Early conviction creates the best outcomes.
We are partners in your success. We show up, offer candid advice, and stay engaged through the hard parts of company building.
Enterprise software and security are not generic markets. We invest in them exclusively, giving us unmatched pattern recognition and buyer access.
Great enterprise companies take time to build. We measure success in decades, not quarters, and structure our support accordingly.
We evaluate every opportunity through a consistent lens shaped by our focus areas and operator experience.
Products built for mid-market to enterprise customers, with a clear path to $100K+ ACV and repeatable sales motion.
Security embedded into the product architecture, not bolted on. Especially interested in zero-trust, IAM, SIEM, and endpoint.
Technical differentiation, data network effects, or deep integrations that create lasting competitive advantages.
Operators with deep domain expertise, relevant experience, and the resilience required to navigate enterprise sales complexity.
Teams that demonstrate disciplined use of capital and a credible path to unit economics that support durable growth.
We invest in markets where the largest outcome could be a category-defining company valued at $1B or more.
CinchTech Capital closed a $150M Seed Round in May 2021, anchored by leading institutional investors including co-investment alongside Accel. The fund is fully deployed across our portfolio of enterprise software and security companies.
We invest $1M–$5M at the seed stage with meaningful pro-rata reserves for follow-on. Our typical initial check targets companies raising their first institutional round.
